Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Admission Requirements

Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Ministry program. To be considered for admission, applicants must complete the following steps and meet the outlined criteria:

1. Application Submission

1. Complete the official D.Min. Application Form.
2. Submit a non-refundable $100 application fee.

2. Academic Prerequisites

• Possess a graduate degree (Master’s level) in Christian Theology, Ministry, or Divinity Studies from an accredited institution.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their graduate studies.

3. Official Documentation

Submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities to the admissions office.

4. Personal History Essay (300–500 words)

Please compose a comprehensive essay addressing the following prompts:

• Spiritual Journey: Share your personal testimony, beginning with how you initially encountered Jesus Christ.
• Growth & Calling: Describe your spiritual development since that time and explain your motivation for pursuing doctoral-level seminary studies during this specific season of life.
• Aspirations: Outline how you hope to deepen your faith throughout the duration of the program.
• Academic Focus: Articulate what specifically draws you to your chosen major or area of study within the D.Min. program.
• Vocational Goals: Detail your intended career or ministry outcome upon degree completion, and explain why this particular path holds personal significance for you.
• Worldview: Discuss a local, national, or international issue that you are passionate about and explain why it resonates with you.

5. Reference Letters

Submit three professional reference letters. Please note that family members and relatives are not eligible to serve as references.

• One Academic References: A Letter from former professors or academic advisors who can speak to your graduate-level academic ability and theological aptitude.
• One Spiritual Reference: A letter from a pastoral leader, ministry leader, or a layperson/personal acquaintance who can speak to your character, spirituality, ministry experience, and professional conduct.

6. Background Check
